Terms and Conditions

Last updated: [DATE]

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of this website and the detailing services provided by Empire Auto & Detail (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By booking an appointment, dropping off a vehicle, or using this website, you agree to these terms.

Acceptance of Terms

By scheduling service, submitting a request through this website, or leaving a vehicle in our care, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use this website or our services.

You confirm that you are at least 18 years old and that you are the owner of the vehicle being serviced or are authorized by the owner to approve work on it.

Services

We provide automotive detailing services, which may include interior cleaning, exterior washing, paint decontamination, paint correction, sealants, and ceramic coating application. Service descriptions, package contents, and availability may change at any time without notice.

We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue service on any vehicle, including vehicles that are unsafe to work on, present a biohazard or infestation risk, or are in a condition that falls outside the scope of what we are equipped to service.

Pricing and Estimates

All prices listed on this website are starting prices and are provided as estimates only. Final pricing depends on vehicle size, vehicle condition, paint condition, and the level of correction required.

Oversized vehicles, excessive pet hair, heavy staining, severe contamination, and additional restoration may require an additional charge.

If, upon inspection, your vehicle requires work beyond the quoted scope, we will contact you with a revised estimate before proceeding. Work will not continue beyond the approved amount without your authorization.

Booking, Deposits, and Payment

Appointments are confirmed once we have acknowledged your request directly. A deposit may be required to reserve certain appointments, particularly for paint correction and ceramic coating services. Deposits are applied to the final balance.

Payment is due in full upon completion of service unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept [ACCEPTED PAYMENT METHODS]. Vehicles will not be released until payment has been received.

Cancellations, Rescheduling, and No-Shows

We ask for at least [NOTICE PERIOD, e.g., 24 hours] notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Cancellations made with less notice, or failure to appear for a scheduled appointment, may result in forfeiture of your deposit or a cancellation fee of [AMOUNT OR PERCENTAGE].

We may need to reschedule appointments due to weather, equipment issues, or circumstances beyond our control. In that event, we will contact you as soon as possible to arrange a new time.

Vehicle Drop-Off, Pick-Up, and Storage

Please arrive at your scheduled time and allow for the full estimated service duration. Detailing timelines are estimates and may extend based on the condition of the vehicle.

Vehicles must be picked up within [PICK-UP WINDOW, e.g., 24 hours] of notification that service is complete. Vehicles left beyond that window may be subject to a storage fee of [AMOUNT] per day. We are not responsible for vehicles left on the premises after business hours.

Vehicle Condition and Pre-Existing Damage

Detailing and paint correction reveal existing conditions that may not have been visible beforehand, including scratches, chips, oxidation, water spots, previous repairs, aftermarket paint, wraps, worn or failing clear coat, cracked trim, loose emblems, and interior wear.

We are not responsible for pre-existing damage, defects, or wear, or for the failure of previously repaired, repainted, or aftermarket surfaces during otherwise standard service. We may document vehicle condition before and after service.

Customer Responsibilities

  • Remove all personal belongings, valuables, and items of sentimental value before your appointment.
  • Disclose any known damage, sensitive surfaces, aftermarket paint or wraps, or recent bodywork.
  • Disclose any biohazard, infestation, mold, or contamination present in the vehicle.
  • Provide keys and any access codes needed to complete service.

We are not responsible for personal items left in the vehicle, including loose change, electronics, documents, child seats, or aftermarket accessories.

Results, Coatings, and Warranties

Detailing and paint correction are restorative, not reconstructive. We aim for the best achievable result given the condition of the vehicle, but we do not guarantee removal of all defects, stains, odors, scratches, or imperfections. Some defects cannot be safely corrected without compromising the paint.

Ceramic coatings and sealants reduce, but do not eliminate, the risk of damage. They do not make a vehicle scratch-proof, chip-proof, or immune to environmental contamination. Any manufacturer warranty on a coating product is provided by the product manufacturer and is subject to that manufacturer’s terms, registration requirements, and maintenance schedule. Failure to follow the required maintenance may void coverage.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or related to our services or this website is limited to the amount you paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim.

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of use, loss of value, lost time, or lost income. Any claim of damage caused by our service must be reported to us before the vehicle leaves our premises or within [CLAIM WINDOW, e.g., 24 hours] of pick-up, so that we have a reasonable opportunity to inspect and address it.

Photography and Marketing

We may photograph or record vehicles before, during, and after service for quality control, documentation, and promotional purposes, including our website and social media. License plates and identifying details are generally obscured. If you prefer that your vehicle not be used in promotional material, let us know before your appointment and we will honor that request.
